Kurogane and Fai entered the tent to the fortune teller. According to Sakura and Syaoran they had to work out their differences if they were to share a room together.
Good evening to you...what can I do you for? The fortune teller asked in the usual gypsy tone.
Hello madam! Were here to have our fortunes read and to see if we work out the kinks in our relationship! Fai greeted with his usual smile. Kurogane growled at the blonde.
You make it sound like were married... Kurogane snapped in a low tone.
Come, sit Madam Zerona will see what she can do The fortune teller grinned. Both men sat down in chairs that were right next to each other. Madam Zerona reached each of her hands out to them. Please place your palms on mine... She ordered. Fai did so without hesitation while Kurogane was just a tiny bit stubborn about it before obeying. The woman closed her eyes. A few minutes of silence passed before she spoke again. Ah yes I see... She smirked before opening her eyes. First she faced Kurogane. You are a fierce warrior unafraid of any battle. You prefer to use a sword than any other weapon. You are quick tempered and are very stubborn. Your real name is Charlie... The woman smiled.
...My real name is NOT Charlie Kurogane quickly snapped.
Oh sorry that was a leftover fortune from my last client! Must have slipped back into my mind by accident! She explained before turning to Fai. And you are a wizard but are very afraid of using your magic. You prefer to keep others away so you put up the mask that Im seeing right at this moment. You are running from something but what I do not know. You also love the taste sake and happen to love annoying Mister Stubborn over here She smirked at the last comment.
Youre good Fai replied smirking right back.
Now how to mend your relationship is simple...take these two pieces of ribbon and how you fix it will become clear soon enough Zerona nodded before handing each a plain red ribbon. Each stared at the new acquired object curiously. After inspecting it, it was Fai who spoke.
How much shall we pay you? He asked.
Oh no no no no! I dont take money! I take enough pleasure in watching my advice unfold! She assured. Kurogane was about to question when Fai stood up.
Well thank you for your services, Madam Zerona! He stated gratefully.
Youre very welcome, Fai and Kurogane She replied. A stunned expression appeared on both their faces. They had never told her their names.
What the hell are we supposed to do with this? Kurogane growled flapping the red ribbon in confusion.
Haha Im not sure Kuro-chu but Im sure it would be smart not to get rid of it! Fai giggled at the shinobis expression.
Tch whatever... Kurogane grunted in reply before lazily placing the ribbon his nightstand. There were only three bedrooms in the house; two with one bed and one with two beds. Sakura needed her own room so that was decided and no one is sure how but Syaoran got the other one. Mokona sleeps on his floor in a little bed. Thus the ninja and wizard were stuck in a room together. Fai, unlike Kurogane, tucked his neatly into a drawer. The ninja quickly slipped off the black hoodie he had been wearing to reveal nothing but bare skin. It was too cold to go around with just a shirt but too hot for something under the sweatshirt so he stuck with just the sweatshirt.
Weet woo! Check out Kuro-myuu! Are you tempting me or something? Fai teased with a smirk.
Oh would you shut up! Kurogane snapped before flopping on his bed. I hope that what that creepy fortune teller meant by fixing our relationship is you dropping your fake, dumbass smile, shutting the fuck up and leaving me the hell alone; thus making you less of an asshole! Kurogane finished before flicking off the light and rooling onto his side, back facing the mage. Fai felt his lips that were usually curled upwards had shakily fallen into a frown; and not just the usual serious frown when it was needed but a frown that showed pure sadness. Despairingly the wizard laid down belly first before quietly falling asleep. Maybe tomorrow it would all be better.
